My path with the plant spirits, the natural world, and the unseen began long before Hedgefaery Herbals ever had a name.

For more than 23 years, I have walked an earth-centered spiritual path rooted in relationship—with plants and stones, the changing seasons, the land, the ancestors, and the mysterious Otherworld that has always seemed to exist just beyond the edges of the everyday.

Faery has been an especially important thread throughout that journey. Not simply as folklore or something beautiful to imagine, but as a way of understanding the living, spirited nature of the world around us. It is from that relationship that Hedgefaery Herbals was born in 2009.

The Apothecary
Hedgefaery Herbals began from a simple desire: to create meaningful herbal preparations that could become companions in someone's own spiritual practice. I have always loved the relationship between magick and plants—the ways herbs were woven into the hearth, folklore, seasonal customs, protection, offerings, blessings, and everyday magick.

That relationship remains at the heart of everything I create.

My Apothecary is intentionally small-batch. Here you will find ritual herbs, ritual oils and salves, flower and crystal essences, aromatic mists, candles, books, and other creations inspired by Faery tradition, plant folklore, folk magic, and the Otherworld.

I create my offerings intentionally, choosing plant spirits and other natural materials not simply for what magick they offer, but for the stories, traditions, and spirits they carry.

A Life of Learning

Over the years, my path has led me through many traditions and healing arts. I am a Certified Aromatherapist and Certified Astro-Herbalist, as well as a Usui and Karuna Reiki Master Teacher, with nearly two decades of professional experience in energy healing.

My studies and practice have also included flower essences, plant spirit medicine, herbalism, crystal and stone work, sound healing, earth-based shamanic practices, astrology, ritual, and other nature-centered traditions. Although I no longer feel the need to offer every modality I have studied as a service, each has shaped the way I understand plants, ritual, spirit, and our relationship with the natural world.

And I remain a student.

Perhaps that is one of the greatest lessons the plants have taught me: there is always more to learn.

The Sidhe Grove

Teaching has also been part of my path for many years. Through The Sidhe Grove, I share classes and studies in Faery magick, herbal folk magic, plant spirit wisdom, ritual, and the traditions that have shaped my own practice.

My intention is not to teach one "correct" way of walking a spiritual path. I would much rather offer knowledge, folklore, practices, and experiences that encourage students to develop their own relationship with the natural and unseen worlds. The plants themselves are often our greatest teachers.

From My Hearth to Yours

Hedgefaery Herbals is a small business in the truest sense. The products, writing, classes, artwork, photographs, labels, recipes, and ideas you encounter here have grown from my own hands, studies, experiences, and imagination.

There is something very meaningful to me about knowing that something created within my own herbal apothecary space may eventually find its way onto another person's altar, hearth, bookshelf, or into a quiet ritual performed beneath the moon. That is the place from which I create Hedgefaery Herbals. And if something I make or teach helps you deepen your own relationship with the plants, the land, Faery, or the Otherworld, then I have fulfilled my purpose, and my heart is truly full.
