First written and independently published in 2011, Betwixt & Between: A Faery's Herbal is a 127-page journey into Faery herbalism, plant wisdom, ritual, folklore, and the sacred relationship between the human world, the natural world, and the Realm of Faery.
Part herbal, part workbook, part recipe book, and part art book, Betwixt & Between grew from my own years of working with plants, exploring Faery tradition, and developing a deeply personal relationship with the living landscape. Within its pages, herbs are more than ingredients and Nature is more than a backdrop for spiritual practice.
The plants themselves become companions. The land becomes teacher. And Faery becomes an invitation to remember our place within a world that is far more alive and enchanted than we are often taught to believe.
 
A Faery Herbal Born from Practice
When I originally wrote Betwixt & Between, I wanted to create something that brought together the different threads of my own practice—herbal preparations, ritual, charms, art, Earth-centered spirituality, and my relationship with the Faery Realm.
The result became something difficult to place into a single category.
It is part herbal.
Part ritual book.
Part workbook.
Part collection of recipes and charms.
Part art book.
But most of all, it is an invitation into relationship—with the plants, with the Earth, with the unseen world, and with the enchantment that can be found when we begin paying attention again.

Betwixt & Between
The title comes from a place that has always fascinated me: the threshold. The place that is neither entirely here nor there. The hedge. The forest edge. Twilight. The changing seasons. The moment between waking and dreaming.
 
These liminal spaces have long appeared within folklore as places where the ordinary world brushes against something mysterious.
 
Betwixt & Between explores that threshold through the language I know best:
plants, ritual, art, and relationship with the living Earth.

Betwixt & Between: A Faery's Herbal was originally written and independently published by me in 2011. The book you receive today features a newly designed cover, while the original interior content has been preserved. I have intentionally chosen not to rewrite the original book.
 
It represents a particular place along my own spiritual and herbal path and remains a record of the work, understanding, creativity, and relationship that inspired Hedgefaery Herbals during those earlier years.
 
More than a decade later, I am deeply grateful that Betwixt & Between continues finding its way into the hands of those who feel called toward the plants and the Otherworld.
