Herbal Ritual Salve for Green Magick, Plant Spirit Work & the Wildwood 

A deep moss-green botanical salve handcrafted for the Green Witch—the one who finds sacredness beneath the trees, wisdom among the weeds, and magick within the living spirit of the land.

There is a kind of wisdom that cannot be learned from books. It is learned with dirt beneath the fingernails. By tending plants. By sitting beneath old trees. By noticing which wildflowers return each spring and listening to the changing language of the seasons.

One of my longstanding Hedge Folk preparations, this herbal ritual salve brings together Comfrey, Plantain, Dandelion, and Vervain in a slow botanical infusion that naturally transforms the oil into the most beautiful shade of deep moss green.

Created for Green Magick, woodland ritual, Nature Spirit work, and those who feel most at home among the wild and growing things.

Crafted Through Traditional Herbal Infusion
Carefully chosen herbs are infused into organic olive oil for approximately two to three weeks using traditional herbal preparation methods. During this time, I tend the preparation as part of my own spiritual practice, incorporating the chants and intentional workings that have accompanied my herbal craft for many years.

Once the infusion is complete, the botanicals are carefully strained, revealing a richly colored herbal oil that carries the natural green shades of the plants themselves.

The finished botanical infusion is then blended with pure golden beeswax and Lavender essential oil to create the salve.

This is not simply beeswax, carrier oil, and fragrance blended together. The herbal infusion itself is the heart of the preparation.

Each batch is made by hand, and in small quantities.

The Plant Allies
Comfrey — A beloved plant of the traditional herbal garden, associated within folk practice with protection, boundaries, stability, and bringing things together.

Plantain — The humble wayside companion, resilient and generous, reminding us that some of our greatest plant teachers grow quietly beneath our feet.

Dandelion — Resilience, transformation, courage, solar vitality, and the extraordinary ability to flourish wherever life takes root.

Vervain — A plant with a long history of sacred and folkloric associations, connected with blessing, purification, devotion, enchantment, and ritual practice.

Lavender — Peace, purification, blessing, clarity, and creating stillness within sacred space.

Together they create an earthy botanical preparation honoring the wisdom of the Wildwood and the Green.

The Wood Witch
To me, the Wood Witch is not defined simply by the herbs upon a shelf or the tools upon an altar. The Wood Witch is defined by relationship. Relationship with the plants, trees, seasons, animal kin, spirits of place and with the Earth herself.

Wood Witch was created for those who understand their witchcraft as something lived rather than merely practiced—a path found in gardens and forests, kitchens and hedgerows, muddy boots, gathered herbs, moonlit walks, and the quiet act of paying attention to the living world.
 
Working With Wood Witch
Apply a small amount to the hands, wrists, heart space, or other appropriate external pulse points before:

These figures arise from different cultures and historical traditions and are honored as such. Within my own practice, however, each speaks in a different way to the sacredness of wilderness and humanity's ancient relationship with the more-than-human world. Or use Wood Witch simply when you need to remember: You are not separate from Nature. You belong to the living world.
